Yesterday at a Press Conference held at Parliament House in Canberra the Prime Minister confirmed that he wanted to see more roads built, more bridges built and see roads fixed now. He went on to confirm that all of this work will be good for not just the economy but also for employment.

He also confirmed that one industry that has not been restricted during the COVID-19 crisis it the construction industry.

CCF QLD applauds the Prime Minister on his confirmation that there will be increased spending on infrastructure.

CCF QLD Chief Executive Officer, Mr Damian Long stated “Infrastructure spending is job creating spending; it supports jobs through the whole supply line as well as providing a positive economic legacy for Queensland and Australia as a whole”.

“CCF QLD has been working tirelessly advocating to both State and Federal Governments for increased infrastructure spending during and beyond the crisis. The civil construction industry with additional funding can support the Australian economy and the Australian people through and beyond this crisis” Mr Long said.
