CCF QLD Member Diona Civil Engineering Queensland Partners with Unitywater
Congratulations to CCF QLD member, Diona Civil Engineering Queensland (Diona) on their selection as the delivery partner by Unitywater under their Strategic Infrastructure Delivery Partner Agreement. Unitywater is the northern SEQ water distributor and under this five-year arrangement, Diona will support the delivery of design and construct works for network and treatment projects throughout the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.
The Partnership Agreement aims to 1) create supportive partnerships; 2) Facilitate Safety, Environment, Quality and communications best practice; 3) Reduce procurement processes and contract management; 4) Align UW values, requirements and expectations; 5) Drive ‘asset owner’ and ‘operator behaviour’ and 6) Obtain value for money.
Network works will include: gravity and pressure pipelines, sewer and water pump stations, rehabilitation of reservoirs, new and rehabilitation of storage tanks manholes and structures.
Treatment works will include: pump stations, tanks and clarifiers, aeration, mixing and dosing systems, screening, grit removal and dewatering system, odour control and disinfections systems.
Diona outlined key benefits they would bring to the partnership with Unitywater, including a history of continued high performance on similar utilities partnerships with key clients such as QUU and Sydney Water; Local presence in the area; Experience delivering planned and reactive works; and a proven track record of a customer-centric delivery approach.
Diona maintained that the partnership was significant for the Queensland team and marks a key milestone for strategic growth in Queensland. In addition, over the next five years their focus would be to provide ‘customer-centric delivery’ for Unitywater’s customers.
