Infrastructure Upgrade for M1 Northbound Exit at Pimpama HOME > Infrastructure Upgrade for M1 Northbound Exit at Pimpama

A $1.5 million infrastructure upgrade is due to start at the Pacific Motorway (M1) Exit 49 northbound off-ramp at Pimpama.

These works aim to support more capacity at the northbound off-ramp and also involve the installation of roundabout metering at the Rifle Range Road and Yawalpah Road roundabouts.

The roundabout metering technology aims to control the flow of traffic at the roundabouts, and reduce the need for motorists to queue on the M1 shoulder.

Business cases are now underway for Exit 38 Yatala North and Exit 41 Yatala South with $4.2 million committed by the Queensland Government.

The works at Exit 49 would begin in late September and be completed by the end of 2018.
