Chain of Responsibility Compliance
May 22 @ 7:30 am - 10:30 am
Significant amendments to National Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws are aimed at aligning CoR laws more closely with WH&S laws.
If a company consigns, packs, loads or receive goods as part of its business it can be held liable for breaches of the Heavy Vehicle National Law even though it has no direct role in driving the vehicle. In addition, corporate entities, directors, partners and managers are accountable for the actions of people under their control. This is what is referred to as the Chain of Responsibility (CoR). Civil Contractors, as a link in the supply chain, must be aware of and must comply with CoR laws.
This session will examine how compliance with the CoR laws can be achieved and what Civil Contractors should be doing to be compliant.
